“SCRATCH & WIN OVER $36,000 TO BE WON!” PROMOTION
HOW TO ENTER
To be eligible to receive a scratch card, individuals must, during the promotional period, donate a minimum of $10.00 in a single transaction to the Football Federation Victoria (FFV) Fundraising Team. Scratch cards are strictly limited. Entrants will receive a scratch card for every $10.00 donated and a bonus scratch card if a donation of $50.00 or more is made in a single transaction. For the avoidance of doubt, if the entrant donates $50.00 or more they will receive 5 scratch cards plus 1 bonus scratch card (6 scratch cards in total).
The entrant must scratch their card to reveal whether or not they have won an instant prize. To claim an instant prize, entrants must either call the claim line number on 1800 079 966 during business hours 9.00am – 5.00pm (Melbourne time) week days or complete the details on the back of the scratch card and send the scratch card into Football Federation Victoria “Scratch & Win Over $36,000 to be Won” Promotion, Suite 11, 210 Toorak Road, South Yarra VIC 3141 by last mail received on 01/06/2010. In order to verify their claim, instant win prize winners who register their claim via the claim line will also be required to complete the details on the back of the scratch card and send their winning scratch card to an address notified to them at the time of their call, by last mail received on 01/06/2010. Claimants should allow 28 days for receipt of their prize.
Non-winning entrants can enter the major prize draw by either:
- fully completing the online entry form at the www.footballfedvic.com.au with the scratch card code, their name, address, phone, email address and date of birth by 5pm AEST on 01/06/2010. Entrants who enter online must retain their original scratch card, clearly showing the code used to enter, as proof of making an eligible donation; OR
- fully completing the entry details on the back of the scratch card and sending it to “Football Federation Victoria “Scratch & Win Over $36,000 to be Won” Promotion, PO Box 749 South Melbourne, VIC 3205, in a self addressed envelope by last mail received on 01/06/2010.
Individuals who have submitted a claim for an instant win prize will automatically be entered into the major prize draw.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2. Entry is only open to VIC residents aged 18 years or over. Employees (and their immediate families) and paid contractors of the Promoter and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
3. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
4. Incomplete, indecipherable, or illegible entries will be deemed invalid.
5. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.
6. Multiple entries permitted, subject to the following: (a) only one entry into the major prize draw and only one instant win prize claim permitted per scratch card awarded; and (b) each entry must be submitted separately and in accordance with entry requirements.
7. Promotion commences on 25/08/2009. All claims for instant win prizes must be received by last mail on 01/06/2010. All entries into the major prize draw must be received by 5pm AEST (for online entries) and last mail received (for mail entries) on 01/06/2010. The major prize draw will take place at Suite 11, 210 Toorak Road, South Yarra VIC 3141 on 07/06/2010 at 10am AEST.
8. Instant winners will be notified immediately in writing and their names (for prizes over $250) will be published in the Herald Sun on 15/06/2010. Major prize draw winner will be notified by mail and their name will be published in the Herald Sun 15/06/2010.
9. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
10. The first valid entry drawn in the major prize draw will win the choice of ONE (1) of the following prizes:
- a trip for 2 adults to London, in the United Kingdom, valued at up to AU$20,000, depending on the winner’s date and point of departure. Prize includes a double pass to attend 2 English Premier League games of the winner’s choice taking place between August 2010 and April 2011 (subject to availability, depending on when the winner chooses to take the trip), return economy airfares for two people from winner's nearest capital city to London, in the United Kingdom and 9 nights’ accommodation for two people at a four-star hotel; OR
- AU$20,000 cash.
11. Spending money, meals, taxes, insurance, passports, visas, vaccinations, transport to and from departure and return point, transfers, items of a personal nature, in-room charges and all other ancillary costs are not included in the trip prize. The trip prize must be taken by April 2011 and is subject to booking and flight availability. |
12. Frequent flyer points will not form part of the trip prize. Winner may be required to present credit card at time of accommodation check in.
13. If the winner opts to take the AU$20,000 cash prize, the prize will be awarded in the form of a cheque.
14. The major prize draw winner will have the choice of one (1) of the above prizes. If the winner opts to take the AU$20,000 cash prize, the trip prize will not be awarded. If the winner opts to take the trip prize, the AU$20,000 cash prize will not be awarded.
15. Prizes are subject to the standard terms and conditions of individual prize and service providers. If for any reason a winner does not take the prize or an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize or that element of the prize will not be redeemable for cash.
16. Subject to the unclaimed prize draw clause, if for any reason a winner does not redeem the prize or an element of the prize by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize or that element of the prize will be forfeited.
17. Instant win prizes: 590 x $5 cash prize, 350 x $10 cash prize, 70 x Nike Soccer Balls valued at RRP $20, 36 x Melbourne Victory 2009 & 2010 match pass valued at $25, 28 x $50 cash prize, 13 X $100 cash prize, 7 x $500 cash prize, 2 x $1,000 cash prize. All instant win cash prizes will be awarded in the form of a cheque.
18. The Melbourne Victory 2009 & 2010 match pass entitles the winner to attend one (1) Melbourne Victory match in 2009 or 2010 played at Etihad Stadium.
19. If any prize (or part of any prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification.
20. Total prize pool value is up to $36,950.
21. Prizes, including any unused portion, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash unless stipulated otherwise.
22. A draw for any unclaimed prizes may take place on 07/09/2010 at the same time and place as the original draw, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. Winners’ names (for prizes over $250) will be published in the Herald Sun on 14/09/2010. For any unclaimed $5 prizes or $10 instant win prizes, these prizes will be bundled into amounts of $100 and awarded to valid entrants drawn in the unclaimed prize draw. Any excess cash that does not fall within the $100 denomination will be awarded as a prize of the remaining amount (eg: if there is $545 worth of unclaimed $5 and $10 prizes, this will form 5 x $100 prizes, and 1 x $45 prize).
23. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
24. Entrants consent to the Promoter using the entrant's name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
25. Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used.
26. The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that entrant invalid.
27. Printing and other quality control errors will not invalidate an otherwise valid prize claim. Unless otherwise due to fraud or ineligibility under these Terms and Conditions, all prize claims in excess of the advertised prize pool will be honoured. Instant win game materials void if stolen, forged, mutilated or tampered with in any way. There will be a total of 54,000 instant win game cards printed for this promotion.
28. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) if any English Premier League game is cancelled or postponed for any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (f) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) use or taking of a prize.
29. As a condition of accepting a prize, the winner (and his/her companion, if applicable) may be required to sign legal documentation as and in the form required by the Promoter and/or prize suppliers in their absolute discretion, including but not limited to a legal release and indemnity form.
30. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the Promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including, but not limited to and prize suppliers. Entry is conditional on providing this information. Unless otherwise advised, the Promoter may also use the information for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes including sending electronic messages. Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter. All entries become the property of the Promoter.
